Transport

Digital transport documents (eFTI) for hauliers and carriers

Go fully digital with eFTI and Peppol Logistics — streamline compliance, eliminate paperwork, and unlock real-time transport intelligence.

Visibility

Real-time transport visibility across your network

Peppol enables seamless sharing of structured transport information across all parties in the supply chain. This allows hauliers to track and update transport status in real time, improving coordination, reducing delays, and giving customers instant transparency.

Compliance

Paperless operations and instant authority checks

With eFTI and Peppol, drivers no longer need to carry physical documents. Instead, they simply present a QR code during road inspections. This minimizes the risk of missing paperwork, avoids unnecessary fines, and speeds up cross-border control procedures, including automatic cabotage compliance.

  • Eliminate document management

  • Speed up border inspections

  • Reduce compliance violations

Optimisation

Automated ESG data and AI-driven fleet optimisation

All transport information exchanged via Peppol is standardised, making it easy to automatically capture ESG metrics for every trip. The structured data also provides a foundation for AI-driven analysis, helping hauliers improve vehicle capacity utilisation, reduce empty runs, and optimise route planning.

  • Capture ESG metrics automatically

  • Reduce empty runs and fuel waste

  • Improve route planning with AI insights

Integration

Fast eFTI integration with Semantic API

The Semantic API integrates easily into your existing systems. Everything is pre-configured, enabling full integration within just a few days so you can start using eFTI and Peppol Logistics without delays or complexity.

  • Connect within days, not months

  • Pre-configured for your systems

  • Support from implementation to go-live

Frequently asked questions

What is eFTI?

eFTI (Electronic Freight Transport Information) is the EU regulation that lets authorities receive freight and transport information digitally instead of on paper. Drivers present a QR code at road inspections, and the authority reads the structured data directly from a certified platform.

When does eFTI become mandatory?

From July 2027, authorities in all EU member states must accept electronic freight information from certified eFTI platforms. Companies that move to digital freight documents before then avoid a last-minute switch and gain faster inspections and real-time transport data.

How does Peppol Logistics support eFTI?

Peppol Logistics carries transport information as standardized, machine-readable messages between all parties in the supply chain. The Semantic API connects your existing systems to Peppol and eFTI: you are connected within a few days and fully integrated in two to four weeks.
